“Whitewater - Nelson is the top ski hill in the area, conveniently located just 20 minutes from Nelson. The staff is always welcoming, and the terrain is remarkable. It's refreshing to have no data/WiFi, reminding me of the simpler times. The lodge is of a small to medium size with additional food huts scattered around. On bustling days, the lodge can be quite full, perhaps even requiring table sharing. There are four lifts available, providing access to three different mountain sides/peaks, although there are no gondolas. My visit was a holiday trip, and I traveled solo. The service was commendable, scoring a 4 out of 5, and the location was perfect, earning a full 5 out of 5. Nearby activities included snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, but there's no village within walking distance. One must drive to the parking lot at the lodge. The food and drinks were exceptionally delicious, including a bar area. What stood out about Whitewater - Nelson was its super rustic vibe, quite unlike modern/big hills. The hotel was notably tranquil, which added to the overall enjoyable experience.”

“My initial visit to Whitewater during a male bonding trip left an unforgettable impression. Nelson, BC is an incredible town, rich in great food, beverages, and snow shops to explore during off-riding hours. What stood out was the friendliness of the locals who gave insightful recommendations on riding and the best spots in town. The mountain experience mirrored this, with exceptional staff who were always ready to help. The food served here was some of the finest I've tasted, surprisingly at such high altitudes. Additionally, I noticed they sell trail map blankets. Unfortunately, there was no option to buy online, so I reached out via email. Tessa promptly responded, informing me that I could acquire them at their downtown office or atop the mountain when it opened. Upon disclosing that I was not locally based, she connected me with Joesph Johns. His assistance was outstanding, letting me know that he could arrange shipping if I paid via phone. I bought four of them and even received a discount. I intend to gift them to my friends this Christmas. In conclusion, Whitewater and its staff offer an unmatched experience. I am grateful to them and look forward to visiting this year. Let the snow begin! In terms of service and location, I would rate them a perfect 5.”

“My visit to Whitewater in Nelson was nothing short of fantastic. I had the opportunity to enjoy the stunning ski area, which was particularly delightful during the spring skiing season. My son, too, had an exhilarating time powder skiing. The city of Nelson itself was quite charming. After a day of skiing, the rooftop hot tub at the Savoy hotel provided a soothing relief to my tired legs. On my second visit, I opted for a cabin in the woods just a short distance away, which offered exquisite views and a tranquil atmosphere. The community was inviting and laid back, adding to the overall relaxing experience. While on the mountain, I grabbed a bite and a drink. Although there was a bit of wait to receive the food, it was worth it as the meal was delicious. The overall service was impeccable, and the location was perfect. The hotel was a highlight of the trip, offering a touch of luxury to the overall experience.”
