“I found the Whitecap Mountains and its hotel to be absolutely stunning. However, I did encounter a significant issue with the ski area. There was a myriad of intersecting trails, most of which were devoid of any signage. Unless one is intimately familiar with the area, it can be quite confusing and easy to lose one's way.”

“I have fond memories of skiing at Whitecap Mountain from years past, and my recent return exceeded my expectations. I understand there have been mixed reviews, but my experience was very positive. The new management is certainly steering things in the right direction. In fact, my wife and I are so thrilled with our visits that we've already secured our season passes for the 23-24 season. We are eagerly looking forward to it.”

“During my stay at 'Whitecap Mountains', I found the family room to be pleasantly spacious. However, the amenities could use some improvement. The mini fridge was the only convenience offered and the showers were in need of repair. It's important to note that the water only got hot at an extremely cold setting and the tub was not cleaned. On the plus side, the food was fantastic, although the restaurant operates only on Fridays and Saturdays for a limited time. If you're visiting on other days, you might have to drive around 20 minutes to a larger city for meals or bring your own food. The natural beauty of the place is commendable. The lake was immaculate and undoubtedly the highlight of my stay. However, the pool and hot tub room had a strong smell of chlorine that could be overpowering, especially for someone with respiratory conditions like asthma. The place offers fantastic views and is also dog friendly, which was a plus point for me. If I were to visit again, I would definitely choose winter over summer, as the area seems perfect for skiing. During the summer, I found that renting an ATV for exploring off-road adventures about 3 miles away would be more suitable. We drove a car and found the terrain challenging, especially when trying to reach the boating dock on the lake. During the summer, be prepared for a lengthy walk from the hotel. In terms of rating, I would give the rooms a score of 3, service a 2, and location a 4. The highlights of the hotel for me were the great views and value.”

“I had a delightful stay at the Whitecap Mountains. The hotel, situated in an excellent location, provided a warm and comfortable setting. The room was perfectly clean, boasting a unique archway and exposed wood beams that added a rustic charm. The bar offered delicious pizza, freshly topped with quality ingredients, accompanied by excellent drinks. The bartender, Chad, was incredibly friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. The hotel also features an expansive indoor pool which is a fantastic amenity especially for those with children. With its great location and splendid views, this establishment is a wonderful choice for a summer stay. The trip was a holiday treat with my partner and we were extremely satisfied with the rooms, service, and location, all of which I would rate a solid 5. This hotel definitely offers great value.”
