“I had a fantastic weekend trip to Val d'Irène. The journey from Wolfville, NS took around 7.5 hours. We enjoyed skiing from Friday through to Sunday. Our accommodation was the "Panoramique" room, colloquially known as "the barn" due to its exterior design. This room was basic and compact but served its purpose well for two people, equipped with just a fridge and microwave. The room overlooked the hill and was conveniently located just 100 feet from the chairlift. The skiing conditions were ideal for spring, with well-pitched runs and the backside providing a more challenging experience with ungroomed runs and excellent Eastern tree skiing. Significantly, all the snow was natural, with no artificial snowmaking. We visited during the Quebec March break weekend, expecting it to be busy, but lift lines were surprisingly short with a maximum wait time of five minutes. On Sunday, we could ski directly onto the chairlift with no wait. The overall atmosphere was relaxed, with friendly people and a delightful little lodge boasting a pleasant bar. It's a perfect location for 2 or 3 days of skiing. Trip specifics: This was a holiday trip, undertaken with family. Ratings: Rooms - 3, Service - 5, Location - 5. Hotel highlights: The hotel offered a great view, was kid-friendly, and provided great value.”
