Motta Naluns is a beautiful ski resort nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, offering a picturesque setting for skiing enthusiasts. The resort offers a variety of ski runs that cater to beginners and intermediate skiers alike. The slopes are well-maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful, creating an inviting atmosphere for visitors.
Though the resort is smaller in size, it's considered an insider's tip due to its well-located and easy to find restaurants, phenomenal deep snow quality, and many hills and hillsides for freeriding, not yet flattened by snow groomers. Additionally, the resort is geographically situated such that it doesn't attract day tourists, preserving an intimate and local vibe, with many regulars vacationing for several days at a time.
However, there are a few challenges that visitors need to be aware of. The process of purchasing and collecting ski passes could be made more convenient. Currently, the payment machine for parking is at the main cash desk rather than at the parking lot, and online purchased ski passes have to be collected at the cash desk. Additionally, there is only one counter to purchase tickets, which can lead to long queues during peak hours.
This charming resort seems to be focusing on overcharging visitors rather than providing a quality experience. Visitors have expressed disappointment with price increases without any added services. Although the resort offers a stunning view and great skiing, some feel that the family-friendly atmosphere it once had is diminishing.
Overall, Motta Naluns offers a fantastic skiing experience, surrounded by breathtaking winter scenery and quaint villages. It is a great place to learn how to ski, with a variety of slopes for all skill levels. However, improvements could be made in terms of convenience and pricing to enhance the overall visitor experience.
