“The panoramic views from the peak of Kitzsteinhorn were absolutely breathtaking. However, there were a few limitations such as a limited number of ski runs and numerous lifts required to reach the summit. I started my day by taking a 9:00 bus from Zell am See and it took roughly two hours to get to the top. Despite the crowd, the trip was well worth it due to the excellent skiing conditions. I visited in March 2023, at which time lower areas were experiencing snowmelt, leading to a bit of congestion on the slopes. Despite these challenges, the journey and the brilliant skiing conditions made it a trip without regrets. However, keep in mind that the number of runs available is finite, so plan your day accordingly. If you're aiming for a day packed with skiing, I recommend starting early and being prepared to repeat the same runs a few times.”

“Kitzsteinhorn boasts a stunning ski area that remains easily skiable even during warmer weather, thanks to its high altitude. However, I experienced a significant bottleneck while trying to access the slopes from the viewing platform. The small cable car meant for this purpose was extremely crowded, especially during the weekend. Our group was stuck in a dense crowd, sometimes in a narrow staircase, for over an hour. Unfortunately, there were no official routes to exit on foot or ski. The only other option was using the large gondola to descend, but then you'd have to use the normal ski lift again to return to the slopes, which would've consumed a similar amount of time. Although the view from the platform during good weather was breathtaking, I wished to have spent that time skiing, considering the day ski pass isn't exactly cheap. On a brighter note, the parking system was well-organized, with personnel guiding cars to available slots, which I found quite impressive.”

“Kitzsteinhorn is truly a magnificent and iconic skiing destination, where one feels as though they've entered a paradise for skiers. It does tend to get a bit crowded, but that's a small price to pay for the experience. If you're unsure about where to go for your next skiing adventure, I strongly suggest considering Kitzsteinhorn.”

Although the ticket may seem a bit steep, I can confidently say it was worth every bit. The panoramic views were simply stunning and the cable car services were excellent, making the entire experience a sheer delight.”
