Jauerling – Maria Laach am Jauerling Overview

Jauerling – Maria Laach am Jauerling is a quaint ski resort located just an hour west of Vienna, offering a delightful day of skiing. Well-regarded for its dedicated staff, the resort ensures adherence to all the current COVID-19 guidelines, making it a safe and secure environment for all visitors.

The resort is particularly suitable for beginners and children, with a learner's area that is flat and expansive, providing an ideal space for those new to skiing. The ski instructors at the resort are highly patient and kind, enabling many of the children to go from novices to being able to snowplow down the small practice hill. The resort also offers a shop for equipment rental and course bookings, adding to its convenience.

Despite its small size, with only one lift and a 500m slope, Jauerling – Maria Laach am Jauerling is a lively place that is perfect for a few hours of skiing with children during weekends or weekday afternoons. The resort also houses a small restaurant that serves simple yet tasty food. The magic carpet for kids is a highlight, although it can get crowded.

A unique feature of the resort is the ability to share tickets, allowing one adult to stay with a child in the kid's area while the other can ski or snowboard down the slope.

Whilst the resort may not offer much for professional skiers due to its size, it is a perfect learning arena for children. The resort also comes with limited seating for lunch at the ski piste/track, but there are alternatives such as the Naturpark Gasthaus Jauerling just a 5-minute drive away.

The resort is not just a winter destination, but also a great hiking area in the summer with well-marked trails and observation towers. In conclusion, Jauerling – Maria Laach am Jauerling is a charming, family-friendly ski resort that offers a safe, enjoyable, and convenient skiing experience for beginners and children.
