“The accommodation at Hoshino Resorts Tomamu was satisfactory and cozy. However, I found the internet connectivity to be quite slow, particularly in the evenings. The elevator situation was less than ideal, often causing delays and inconvenience. It seemed as if there was not enough lift capacity for all guests, particularly during peak times such as breakfast. I recommend securing a room on a higher floor to avoid this issue.”

“The location of Hoshino Resorts Tomamu is second to none. It's a ski-in, ski-out hotel, conveniently linked to a variety of restaurants and attractions, most of which are easily accessible via undercover tunnels that connect the buildings. I stayed there with my partner for six nights, and we were provided with ski lift passes and a buffet breakfast at one of three restaurants. The food options were fantastic, of high quality and varied. The rooms might seem a bit old-fashioned, but they were thoroughly cleaned every single day. It's always a pleasant surprise to return to a neatly made-up room after spending a whole day in the snow. The ski lifts right outside the door open up a world of fantastic runs to explore. It's the same access you get with the neighboring club med, but without the additional expense. The convenience and value offered by this resort are simply unbeatable. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Additionally, the resort is family-friendly and offers a fantastic view. I would rate the rooms, service, and location a perfect 5 out of 5. It was a holiday trip for me and my partner.”

“Having experienced a stay at Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, I found the location to be average. The place didn't quite appeal to me personally. I found the quality of food to be lower than average compared to what one would expect in Hokkaido. The sashimi, in particular, seemed to be supermarket quality rather than freshly caught fish. The taste of some restaurants was satisfactory, while others fell short of my expectations. I got the impression that the resort is primarily designed to cater to tourists and families. Regarding the rooms and service, they were satisfactory, scoring a 3 out of 5.”

“I visited Hoshino Resorts Tomamu in early February, just after a significant snowstorm which had disrupted all transportation from Sapporo. It's important to note that winter weather can be challenging. The views were breathtaking and the cuisine was exceptional. We were there for a wedding and I found myself wishing I had booked a longer stay as it was one of most stunning winter getaways I've experienced. While I don't ski and therefore can't comment on the skiing facilities, the resort boasts over 20 restaurants, a large indoor pool, and is very expansive. This was a holiday trip with friends and overall, I'd rate the rooms a 5, the service a 3, and the location a perfect 5. It's worth highlighting that the resort is luxurious, romantic, and very kid-friendly.”
