“I have noticed that the restrooms frequently run out of paper and the family bathroom is consistently occupied. Additionally, the cleanliness of the cafeteria leaves much to be desired despite the staff's constant movement. Disappointingly, amenities such as microwaves and tap fountains are missing. The lobby space is also limited as a significant portion is reserved for VIP skaters, restricting access for regular visitors. However, a positive note is the strict enforcement of a smoke-free zone upon entry. Be aware that some facilities, such as the conveyor belt, helmet, locker, and even bottled water come with additional charges. Lastly, the parking lot usage has its own set of challenges.”

“I would rate Cypress Mountain two stars, primarily due to a change in ambiance. Previously, there was music playing at the lifts which added a fun and enjoyable vibe to the overall experience. Now, without the music, conversations of others, often about unrelated topics such as investment properties, have become more prominent and distracting.”

“In my most recent visit to Cypress Mountain in 2021, I noticed that there hasn't been much improvement, with inexperienced staff and overselling of day tickets and passes still remaining as issues. It seems that management has chosen to prioritize their profit margins over customer experience during the pandemic. Unfortunately, dialogue and suggestions are met with repetitive explanations that the overwhelming crowds are due to Covid and peak timing of pass holders. Reflecting back on my 2018 experience, I recall being dissatisfied with their customer service as well. I remember losing my season pass card and learning that the replacement fee would be a staggering $60. The reasoning provided by the shift manager was that individuals often pretend to lose their passes to obtain a free pass for their friends. This admission implied that their gate crew were not performing their duties effectively, resulting in honest customers bearing the brunt of Cypress Mountain's inability to train their staff properly. Instead of addressing this issue, I was offered the option to purchase an evening ticket to avoid paying the replacement fee — an absurd suggestion since I had already paid for my pass. Following up with customer service the next day yielded the same response about gate crews not checking passes thoroughly and people sneaking in with shared passes. I was advised to send an email, as the customer service representative was unable to provide a refund. Nearly a week later, I am still awaiting a response. The experience left me feeling treated as a potential scammer and there seemed to be a lack of commitment to addressing customer concerns. Fortunately, my credit card company was able to reverse the charge after I flagged it as fraudulent.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cypress Mountain. Its size is just right for an engaging ski experience, and the night skiing offered is truly phenomenal. The views that one can witness while skiing are simply stunning.”
