Bezovec Overview

Bezovec is a family-oriented ski resort, well-suited to beginners and children. It features a modest ski track which, while relatively short, provides a decent learning ground for novices. The resort offers comfortable relaxing spaces and a variety of refreshments, including coffee, tea, beer, soup, and goulash. Despite the respectable services, some visitors have found the track to be a little icy at times and the ski lift to be somewhat outdated.

Housed in the north of the Danubian Plain in western Slovakia, Bezovec offers a cozy atmosphere mostly favored by locals and people from the surrounding areas. The slopes are gentle and the ski instructors are known for their patience, friendliness, and careful handling of children. Limited parking is available, but this is a common issue in Slovakia. However, good maintenance of the free parking is a plus.

The resort serves not only as a destination for winter sports but also a starting point for trips to Tematin. It is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery that is great for summer hiking and mountain biking, offering views of the valleys and easy trails leading to destinations like Tematin Castle or Pánska Javorina.

The resort's operation is commendable, especially considering the challenges posed by the weather. It has a limited ski season due to snow availability and can sometimes experience long lines for the lifts. Nevertheless, it remains a popular destination for mountain tourists, skiers, bikers, families, and loners.

The resort features a few drawbacks, including some dilapidated buildings and a somewhat broken access road. Some visitors have also noticed a higher number of sledders than beginner skiers on the slopes, and the payment is only available in cash. Despite these issues, Bezovec continues to offer a unique blend of winter sports, hiking, and relaxation amidst a truly beautiful environment.
